This “Structured Skills Training” Development Program has been developed (and continuously evolves) to address the real challenges to Positivity, Self-Motivation and Communication in today’s dynamic workplace. TWI is an acronym for Training within Industry which was developed during WWII by US.
Branding is all about the promise that telegraph and the experience that you deliver. With that understanding, all the work that is being done in the manufacturing plant or in service centres, need to be all the highest level. The real work that is being done are the direct providers (labours) as they are putting things together in order to meet the promise.
As such, the work that being done by the individual must be congruent to them as this will inspire them to produce high quality product. One of the key elements boils down to is, performance. In order to have a consistent increase in performance, we need to address 2 components, which are, stabilized process, continuous improvement and keeping safety in mind.
This training program focuses on two main areas which are Job instructions (stabilize process) and Job method (continuous improvement). In many industries, the biggest waste comes from rework. The main contributor for this is identified as poor job instruction given during training stage. As the saying goes, ‘Practice makes Perfect’. How about if the team is practicing the wrong steps… then is goes ‘Perfectly wrong’. In Job instructions (JI) the participants will be undergoing a workshop style learning in using the four steps effectively to train their trainee with 90% retention.
Job Methods (JM) is key for engineers to improve a certain operation in order to have a productive operation. The participants will learn on how to use the four steps in Job Methods to Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange or Simplify certain processes. Once the right Job Method is identified, it is to be documented into training module and taught by using the Job Instructions method.
in any industry dealing with a rapidly changing environment and a need for quick learning and fast improvement cycles. It is also ideal for people in environments whereby safety is critical and/or with strategic initiatives that require workers to learn their jobs rapidly.
